The Polycom Touch Control is an easy-to-use graphical interface with simple navigation which allows distance students start video conferences quickly without any complications. It does not require technical support. It makes the telepresence more efficient and lets students focus on their meeting and collaborate competently. It can be used for all Polycom HDX™ room telepresence systems.

Appropriateness to DE institutes:
  • Users connect with each other using a shared address book, on-screen keypad, and calendar entry. Simply select a contact from the address book, integrate a directory, or place a direct call via the IP address. Calendar meetings can be joined with a simple touch.
  • The Polycom Touch Control integrates with Microsoft® Exchange software to provide information about location.
  • During a meeting, on-screen controls allow users to adjust near- or far-side cameras (pan, tilt, zoom); select preset camera locations; adjust volume, mute, and more.
  • The Polycom Touch Control solution offers multiple options for sharing content. An integrated USB port automatically reads any Microsoft® Office-formatted file directly from an inserted flash drive, allowing users to easily view and share content. A second USB port dedicated to PC connectivity automatically runs Polycom People+Content IP™ content-sharing technology.
